FIELD TRIP DETAILS
Destination: Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, 350 E Galleria Dr, Henderson, NV
Date: Saturday, November 21
Time/Meet-up location: 7:30am to 3:00pm from new Sunriver Smiths Grocery (4582 S Pioneer Rd, off I-15 exit 4)
Transportation/cost: Carpools from Smiths, $10 for driver. Or drive yourself, 260 miles round trip.

Directions (130 miles, 2 hours):
I-15 South into Las Vegas (go ~115 miles)
Exit 42 onto I-15/US 93/95 toward Phoenix (go ~12 miles)
Exit 64B and turn Left onto Galleria Drive (go ~2.3 miles)
Left at small sign: “Bird Viewing Preserve” after 250 E Galleria Dr; then go to end after right-hand turn toward parking lot (~.6 mile)
Conditions: Three-quarter mile of level dirt and gravel paths; ADA accessible; restrooms
Bring/wear: Binoculars/scope, sunscreen and hat, ample food and water, sturdy walking/hiking shoes, layered clothing for possible chilly and windy weather
Photography: Up-close views of most species!
Lunch: We’ll eat our lunches at the facility
